"Desiree & Julius" is a song performed/written by Lyss. It was set to be in the 50s where integration was taking place. "It wasn't my best but I try to like, set the picture of like, a couple in 50s," says Lyss. However, for the Paparazzi Awards, Lyss was going to let Avery Jack sing the cover. It's on "Hearts & Butterflies".

LyricsEdit

Lil' Charlie at the parlor

He sees a photo, gets a lil' closer!

Remembers Suzie talkin' 'bout a girl!

He asks her, "Ol' Suzie, who that?"

She answers, written in a song!

And we sing along

It's Desiree and Julius!

Lovebirds whose love's in a song!

It's a really-really complicated story

So just sit back and enjoy the ride!

1952, Desiree Cortez, yeah, waltzed into a store!

Julius, a merchant, catches Desiree in the act!

He says-a, "Desiree, that your name?

I'm-a Julius Maroon!"

They sang a song!

And we all sing along!

It's Desiree and Julius!

Lovebirds whose love's in a song!

It's a really-really complicated story

So just sit back and enjoy the ride!

It wasn't love at first

But we made it to the fourth!

You know it's a tragedy

Unless we sing along!

Oooh...oh!

Lemme tell you a story!

Desi-Roo was in the shop nights ago!

When she came home, Julius was her mighty king!

She and Jules hadda-had this thing!

When we asked what it was, them was on the go!

Hey!

It's Desiree and Julius!

Lovebirds whose love's in a song!

It's a really-really complicated story

So just sit back and enjoy the ride!

It wasn't love at first

But we made it to the fourth!

(It's a Home-run!)

You know it's a tragedy

Unless we sing along!
